Hi All-
I just want to give anyone from BAMA who is interested one last opportunity to sign up for the Mazda Corral at Laguna Seca on Saturday, August 16, 2008.  This corral, located at turn 5 of the track, has been an institution since the first Miata rolled off the boat.  This year will be special because MazdaUSA HAS GRACIOUSLY AGREED (FUNDED)to provide a large tent, tables, chairs, goodies and catered meals for all who sign up.  This is a major coup!

The current attendee list numbers 44, and some BAMA members including myself and some BAMA friends when they found out about this last minute bonus that BAMA member Mike Hagerla has gotten Mazda to give us.  I previous posted the cut-off date as June 27th.
I know many of you have attended in the past or are new to the club, and may have some interest this year.  If so, you can sign up until JULY 3RD directly through Mike Hagerla’s website.  The cost is $65 per person for Saturday, $45 per person on Sunday, and $95 for both days combined.  The tent and meals will only be available on Saturday, but you will get a corral pass for both days.  And your tickets provide you complete access to the track paddock and viewing spots throughout the course.

The Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca are arguably the biggest and most important historic and vintage automobile races in the world. Laguna Seca in Monterey is a beautiful facility, and the cool weather will be a welcome respite from the valley heat.  The featured marquee this year is Alfa Romeo.

I hope some of you will decide to make the drive down to Monterey, at least for the day, and enjoy this annual event with your fellow Miata enthusiasts, especially now with the accomodations for us to make this extra fun, and have an actual Miata community experience!
