Description : Well, it's been five years and we've decided to take this year's event back to its roots...with a twist of course!! Twisted Weekend V is going back to Lake Isabella, and we will once again trek across the INFAMOUS Breckenridge Road. However, we will also hit many other roads on this run that we haven't included on previous events, so there will definitely be new scenery available for those that have been to Isabella with us before. We are also going earlier this year so there should be many late spring wildflowers about the area.

We will start in the Valencia area (final start point to be announced soon), and drive several roads on our way to lunch, and then several more in the afternoon on our way to the hotel for the night, The Golden Trout. We'll also have dinner at the famous Johnny McNally's, before spending the rest of the evening on the patio at the hotel.

For those that are interested, we may arrange a short drive around the lake in the evening so that you will have an opportunity to look at the multitude of stars visible in the area due to low light pollution and a moonless night.

On Sunday we will drive more great roads, most of which I think that I will choose to remain secret for now. If you want to see them, come on the run. Tassy and I know that you will love them all.

Accommodations: Please call Alice at the Golden Trout, 760-376-6033, as soon as possible and ask for a reservation for Saturday night, 5-31, for the SOCALM event. We have reserved the entire hotel, but there are only 20 rooms available, so, first come, first served. Rooms are $110.00, including tax.

Check back here in the May Reward and on the website for the directions to the start, but make your reservation for the hotel now. The reservations I have made will only be held through the end of April, so if you don't get it soon, you'll have to find somewhere else to sleep on Saturday night!
