Miata's in Moab

The Utah Miata Club is again hosting Miata's in Moab. This started in 2003 as a local Utah club event that they thought they might put u on the internet, and they ended up with 100 Miata's from all over the country. The Scenery is spectacular, the roads are built fro Miata’s, and the people are warm and wonderful.

Several Miata Clubs will be hosting caravans to Moab, and more information will be available as the event gets closer. Meanwhile if you plan to go you will want to make hotel reservations. The host hotel is already fully booked (which tells us to expect another big turnout), but there are several hotels in the area that are very convenient.

Fill your days with short or long drives. There are plenty of roads to go zoom zooming. Or go shopping, hiking, fishing, biking, river rafting, take a tour of the local winery or go horseback riding. Whatever tickles your fancy! Each day we will split up into small groups and do whatever activity suits our whims at the time. Each evening we will gather for a social hour or two and share our stories with each other. "

We have the entire Best Western Canyonlands Inn reserved for our group. May 13, 14, 15, 2005. The rate is $89.99 per night. We have a block of 30 rooms held for our event at The River Canyon Lodge . Pricing starts at $69.00 and goes up to $89.00 per room. There are 10 single queens, 10 standard 2 queens, 5 Junior suites with one queen and 5 Junior suites with 2 queens being held for the event. The River Canyon Lodge is locate at 71 West 200 North. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Best Western Canyonlands Inn. For those of you traveling with pets, you will be happy to learn that for a $10.00 pet fee you may bring your pet with you. Be sure to ask the clerk for details if you are bringing a pet.

For 1st time visitors to Moab we'd like to inform you that most retail establishments do not accept checks, so it would be wise to bring only cash or credit cards.
For those of you not familiar with the climate in Moab in May here's what you can expect; the average high is 82F/28C, the average low is 48F/9C with an average rain fall of 0.7"/1.8cm

Please note that Utah has some strict laws on drinking. Alcohol is not allowed in State Parks or in public.
